Discover More

Future phases of the Bridge District include residences, technology innovation hub at the National Campus for Cyber Leadership, shops and restaurants, parks, and year-round events.

The Bridge District is an eight-acre neighborhood development with new apartments, shops, restaurants, parks, innovation hub, bike paths, and more. Located adjacent to Anacostia Park at the foot of the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge in Southeast DC, the Bridge District includes seven new buildings with approximately 2.5 million square feet of entitled, matter-of-right, mixed use density currently under development, including:

  • Nearly 2,000 apartments, including market rate and affordable housing
  • 70,000 SF of retail, with a focus on leasing to local and independent businesses
  • 250,000 SF of innovation hub (National Campus for Cyber Leadership) designed to house world-class cyber training and research facility with classroom space, auditoriums, cyber ranges, research and development labs, and secure meeting space
  • New parks and public spaces onsite
  • 800-900 below grade parking spaces + adjacency to 1,200 WMATA garage parking spaces

The Bridge District offers a beautiful urban experience settled among national parks and plentiful trees, along with spectacular views of the DC skyline. The neighborhood has nearby access to national parks, the DC riverfront, Historic Anacostia, Navy Yard, Buzzard Point, Nationals Park, Audi Field, and much more. The Bridge District is easily accessible by foot, bike, public transportation, and car.

The Bridge District is redefining sustainable construction and development in Washington DC and internationally. The residential buildings at the Bridge District are designed to meet a Zero Carbon standard from both a construction and operations perspective, and are pursuing ILFI and LEED Platinum certification. Several of the residential buildings at the Bridge District will be constructed of cross-laminated timber, including one of the first multifamily buildings in the DC area to embrace this industry-leading sustainable approach.
